Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or LISW-S to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral health team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining accurate medical records in EMR/EHR systems. Deliver specialized mental health interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, PTSD, Alzheimer's care needs, and geriatrics. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical social workers, psychiatrists, educators, and community agencies—to coordinate home & community care services and ensure holistic patient support. Engage in case management activities such as patient care coordination, intake assessments, data collection for clinical research projects, and adherence to

coding standards for documentation accuracy. Provide crisis management and intervention support for individuals experiencing behavioral emergencies or psychiatric crises while ensuring compliance with clinical social work practices. Qualifications Valid licensure as an LISW or LISW-S from an accredited licensing board with current certification to practice independently in your state. Proven experience working with children and adolescents in settings such as hospitals, schools (special education), or community clinics. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation tools, psychopharmacology basics, and medical terminology relevant to psychiatric patient care. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD interventions. Experience working with individuals with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation of clinical notes and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction across diverse cultural backgrounds along with strong case management capabilities.
