Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role supporting students as a dedicated school psychologist within a middle school environment. This is a full-time, onsite position running now through June 10, 2027. You'll serve an urban district, focusing on evaluations, assessments, and providing psychological services to middle school students, with occasional out-of-district evaluations and overflow cases. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 35 hours weekly. While full-time availability is preferred, candidates seeking part-time hours may also be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification/licensure is required Prior school-based experience and proficiency with evaluations and assessments Demonstrated ability to work in urban educational settings Understanding of diverse student backgrounds and comfort working within the district Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearances in accordance with school requirements Reliable transportation to the onsite location; this is a 100% in-person role Flexible for occasional overflow and out-of-district evaluation responsibilities Must be able to commit to the required schedule; no exceptions or accommodations regarding work hours available
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct student evaluations and assessments within the middle school setting Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning and social-emotional development Address overflow and support out-of-district evaluations as needed Maintain accurate documentation and follow all district, state, and federal guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide insights on student progress This position offers the opportunity to cultivate meaningful relationships and inspire positive change within a vibrant school community.
