Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in a dynamic middle and high school setting! A talented and compassionate school psychologist is sought to serve students ages 12-18, with services sometimes extending up to age 21 for special education. With a typical caseload reaching around 25 by year's end, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact students' academic, social, and emotional growth. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 28, 2027. Your work day runs from 7:10 am to 2:40 pm, with 7.5 hours on site and 7 hours paid daily, totaling 35 paid hours each week. The role serves both New Oxford Middle School and New Oxford High School, which are conveniently connected.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working with adolescents and young adults, including special education populations Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Flexibility, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students ages 12-21 Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes Facilitate behavior intervention planning and monitor progress Maintain thorough and accurate documentation Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise Perks of the
