Global Service Resources is seeking a registry/contract Clinical Psychologist for LA County's Department of Public Health's Substance Abuse Prevention and Control/ Clinical Standards & Training Branch. This hybrid position focuses on provider education, clinical standards, quality improvement, and training for substance use disorder treatment programs.

Clinical Services Division, Clinical Standards & Training Requirements:

Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or an equivalent discipline recognized by the California Board of Psychology. Active California Psychologist License. Experience in behavioral health and/or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred. Experience developing and facilitating clinical trainings. Strong presentation, consultation, and program development skills. Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Must pass background check and any County onboarding requirements.

Some Duties Include:

1. Apply Clinical Psychology expertise to develop, refine, deliver, facilitate, and coordinate trainings for SAPC providers to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to provide high quality and evidence-based substance use disorder services that adheres to established clinical standards. 2. Utilize Clinical Psychology expertise and pedogeological experience to serve as a consultant to multidisciplinary teams of staff and providers to contribute to the development, deployment and evaluation of appropriate healthcare services and programs for clients receiving substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. 3. Conduct literature searches, clinical research, chart reviews and other means to identify practice and training gaps, necessary clinical skills for development and enhancement clinical practices for SUD services through the development of training interventions and programs. 4. Provide consultation and lend expertise to internal and external departmental professionals, contract providers, and administrative personnel in the coordination and administration of all aspects of SUD clinical care provision and management. This includes working collaboratively with staff involved with data management to promote data-driven and quality care standards at the program and provider level. 5. Work collaboratively with other CST team members to evaluate provider interventions and client response to SUD treatment and to identify, improve, implement, and evaluate processes related to clinical standards via training interventions. This includes providing clinical expertise and feedback regarding the development, implementation, evaluation and management of the CST programs. 6. Serve as a Clinical Psychology consult and technical subject matter expert to other SAPC divisions regarding the development and deployment of enduring learning products for the SAPC-Learning & Network Connection Platform (SAPC-LNC) 7. Participate in professional committees, meetings, and conferences, as assigned, including but not limited to topics concerning SUD standards of treatment, quality, utilization management, training, policies, procedures, and data collection. 8. Comply with licensing and accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. Interprets and supports standards and requirements to others. Aid in the development of division and section's policy and procedures and standard operating procedures. And conducts self-assessment of performance and identifies own learning needs. Additionally, manages administrative duties related to section responsibilities as assigned. 9. Completes other duties and performance expectations as needed in accordance with Bureau needs, class specifications, or County Work Plan.

Ideal Candidate:

Licensed Psychologist with strong experience in behavioral health, SUD treatment, workforce development, clinical education, or quality improvement. Passionate about teaching, mentoring, and improving clinical practice standards. Experience in program development, training facilitation, and healthcare consultation is highly desirable.
