MAJOR PURPOSE
The Course Builder & Coordinator (CBC) collaborates with MACP leadership and faculty to effectively build, revise, set up and troubleshoot courses in the learning management system (LMS). This position does not design courses but coordinates the building of courses into the university's LMS system. The Course Builder & Coordinator serves as the liaison for faculty and students for all course-related needs. This role is full-time, 40 hours per week. Up to 50% of the hours may be worked remotely and is required to be on campus as needed for department events, meetings and team collaboration. The pay range for this position is generally: $50,000-$55,000 Annual. Individual pay is generally determined by a number of factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages all courses in Canvas for MACP Rocklin and SYNC programs (approx. 100+ courses per year) Creates, imports and troubleshoots MACP Canvas shells, syllabi, and MACP Master Shell Roster year round for each academic session and semester Coordinates timelines for revisions and/or course resources with professors Helps coordinate onboarding for new professors Teaches faculty how to use Canvas (part of the onboarding process) and acts as main contact for professors Sets up due dates and assignments in every MACP Canvas shell and monitor course resources, assignments and gradebooks for accuracy Manages all course syllabi, track course revisions, textbook updates and content congruence across all delivery models Organizes and shares course syllabi and materials in shared Google drive folders Maintains consistency between Rocklin and SYNC classes by facilitating ongoing relationship between Rocklin and SYNC professors teaching the same course Acts as liaison with the library and Slingshot and maintain updated textbooks in Slingshot, syllabi and textbook list Submits IT requests for Canvas changes Acts as liaison with IT for Canvas related permissions and issues and is on call for faculty for first 2 weeks of each session for IT issues Regularly ensures MACP Master Schedule, CAMS and Canvas match Embeds form tracker in all Practicum Courses Ensures Master Shells are up to date with instructors' preferred materials Adds updated forms and processes to courses in Canvas Meets with LMS manager regularly to ensure legal guidelines are followed and coordinate with IT on compliance updates Uses Amplify to create new payment forms for events, activities, and other needs Assists with and participate in MACP events and meetings Other duties assigned by the MACP Directors
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience :
• Bachelor degree in education or business-related fields preferred
Required Knowledge/Experience :
Expertise in LMS Platforms (Canvas), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong technical skills and aptitude
