Job Description

Pennsylvania School Psychologist - Independent Contractor Middle Child Evaluation Services, PLLC is building a network of experienced Pennsylvania school psychologists interested in flexible, high-quality independent contract evaluation work. Independent contractors may be offered individual evaluation assignments based on client needs, professional expertise, geographic availability, and mutual agreement. Each contractor may accept or decline an assignment. There is no guaranteed minimum workload. This is a hybrid opportunity. Student testing and related activities may occur in person at an agreed-upon location. Records review, scoring, report writing, and other administrative work may be completed remotely. Potential responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Review educational, developmental, behavioral, and clinical records Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessment measures Integrate data from multiple sources into clear, comprehensive reports Develop practical, evidence-informed recommendations Participate in feedback sessions or school-team meetings when required Communicate professionally with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams Complete assignments within agreed-upon timelines Maintain confidential records and follow applicable professional, ethical, and legal standards Required qualifications Current Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification Graduate degree in school psychology from an accredited program Strong assessment, interpretation, and report-writing skills Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines Professional liability insurance, or the ability to obtain coverage before accepting an assignment Current Pennsylvania clearances and required professional documentation Reliable transportation for agreed-upon in-person assignments Preferred qualifications Several years of school-based evaluation experience Experience evaluating students with complex learning, attention, executive-functioning, developmental, behavioral, or social-emotional needs Familiarity with Pennsylvania special-education requirements and school-based eligibility processes Interest in completing approximately two to five evaluations per month Independent contractor arrangement This is an independent contractor opportunity and not an offer of employment. The specific fee for each assignment will be provided before acceptance and will vary according to its scope, complexity, travel requirements, and required deliverables.
