Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students? This contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year invites dedicated School Psychologists to bring their expertise and compassion to school settings near Danbury, CT. This role emphasizes the importance of supporting students' educational and social-emotional needs through comprehensive evaluations and collaborative school-based intervention. Candidates seeking full-time work (32.5 hours/week) are highly encouraged to apply, though flexible part-time arrangements can be accommodated. In-person service is preferred, but those interested in hybrid schedules are welcome to apply.
Key Qualifications:
Connecticut School Psychologist certification required (pending CT certification considered for strong applicants) Experience conducting regular psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting Familiarity with MTSS/RTI and special education eligibility processes Strong communication and report-writing skills Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Bilingual candidates encouraged; a higher rate is available to support language access for students and families
Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychoeducational assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports Provide consultation and intervention recommendations to staff, families, and students Participate actively in IEP, eligibility, and team meetings Support schoolwide initiatives promoting mental health, inclusion, and student success Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation This role offers a rewarding chance to work closely with students, educators, and families to foster a positive learning environment.
