9666066-77084 Job Description Step into a dynamic role as a School Psychologist, supporting students growth and well-being in a collaborative and innovative school environment. Located in the greater Houston area, this contract opportunity spans across two to three schools while providing a consistent workspace at the central office. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the academic year ending in late May 2027, offering an extended experience within a supportive and experienced team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Texas licensure as a School Psychologist is required. Demonstrated expertise with psychoeducational assessments, special education evaluations, and consultation with educators and families. Comfortable adapting to a workload model, managing both assessment and service coordination, rather than focusing solely on numbers of students served. Previous experience working in an educational or school-based setting is highly valued. Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and organization. Proficiency in creating and maintaining thorough documentation. Comfortable working primarily onsite, with the advantage of guaranteed remote work at least one day per weekand potential for additional flexibility.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychological services for 2-3 schools while operating from the districts central office. Conduct assessments, create intervention plans, and collaborate with educators, parents, and the multidisciplinary team. Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, ensuring best practices and compliance with state and federal special education guidelines. Share expertise in behavioral and academic intervention, supporting whole-child development.
