Worry Free Psychology is a well-established small private practice dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological evaluations to children, teenagers, and adults. Our team is passionate about fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where every person can thrive. We specialize in psychological assessments, evidence based treatment recommendations, and IEP/504 accommodations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Testing Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychological testing and assessment, particularly with children. This role requires someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively within a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for ages 5+, including but not limited to cognitive, educational, behavioral, and personality assessments.
  • Administer, score, and interpret a variety of psychological tests.
  • Develop detailed and individualized assessment reports, including diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to provide holistic support and intervention strategies for the child.
  • Provide feedback sessions to discuss assessment results and recommended interventions with families.
  • Stay current with the latest research and developments in psychology and psychological testing.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and reports.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate or Masters in Psychology and licensed as an LP, LPA, or eligible for licensure in NC. Only LPs and LPAs (or license eligible) will be considered for this position.
  • Experience in psychological testing and assessment, with a focus on children is preferred.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychological tests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small practice setting.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and their families.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in a private practice setting.
  • Specialized training in developmental disorders, learning disabilities, and/or neurodivergence.
  • Familiarity with local educational and therapeutic resources for children.
