Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist specializing in telehealth services. This position involves providing psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation to students within a school setting, delivered remotely. The role is based in Newport, RI, offering flexibility while supporting student mental health and educational outcomes through virtual platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpreting results to support individualized education plans (IEPs). Providing telehealth counseling sessions tailored to meet students' emotional and behavioral needs. Collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies and support student success. Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with professional and legal standards. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute psychological expertise in planning and decision-making.
Preferred qualifications for candidates:
Holds valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist. Experience delivering psychological services via telehealth platforms. Strong knowledge of educational laws and regulations related to special education. Excellent communication skills adaptable to virtual interactions. Ability to work independently while managing caseload and schedules effectively.
