In-person, telehealth, school-based, community-based, and other approved clinical settings Position Overview Rosalino Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled licensed or license-eligible Clinical Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary mental health team. The psychologist will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations and provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The clinician will have opportunities to evaluate and treat clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, cognitive, neurological, and trauma-related concerns. In addition to traditional clinical services, the psychologist will have the opportunity to receive guidance and experience conducting immigration psychological evaluations , including evaluations related to asylum, extreme hardship, VAWA, U visas, T visas, and other immigration matters. This position is ideal for a psychologist who enjoys balancing psychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, report writing, and ongoing psychotherapy. The clinician will work with culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse clients in a supportive and collaborative practice environment. Primary ResponsibilitiesNeuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, behavioral, and diagnostic evaluations. Assess children, adolescents, adults, and older adults presenting with cognitive, emotional, behavioral, academic, neurological, and developmental concerns.

Evaluate conditions such as:

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Learning disabilities and academic difficulties Intellectual and developmental disabilities Memory and cognitive concerns Executive-functioning difficulties Traumatic brain injury Anxiety disorders Depressive disorders Post-traumatic stress disorder Behavioral and emotional disorders Developmental delays Dementia and age-related cognitive decline Other neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and neurological conditions Select, administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and neuropsychological testing instruments. Conduct clinical interviews and obtain relevant developmental, educational, medical, psychiatric, family, social, and trauma histories. Review school records, medical records, prior evaluations, treatment documentation, and collateral information when clinically appropriate. Integrate testing results, clinical observations, collateral information, and psychosocial history to formulate accurate diagnoses and recommendations. Prepare clear, comprehensive, clinically sound, and timely written evaluation reports. Provide feedback sessions to clients, parents, caregivers, and authorized referral sources. Develop practical recommendations for treatment, school accommodations, workplace supports, medical follow-up, and community-based services. Collaborate with schools and families regarding IEPs, 504 Plans, behavioral supports, and educational recommendations when authorized. Maintain the security, organization, and ethical use of testing materials and assessment data. Individual Therapy and Clinical Services Maintain a caseload of individual psychotherapy clients in addition to completing evaluations. Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults based on the psychologist's experience and areas of competence. Provide family, couples, parenting, or group therapy when qualified and interested. Use evidence-based and culturally responsive treatment approaches, including: Cognitive behavioral therapy Trauma-informed therapy Solution-focused therapy Behavioral interventions Family-systems approaches Motivational interviewing Strengths-based therapy Developmentally appropriate play-based interventions Other evidence-based psychotherapy models Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, risk assessments, and ongoing clinical reassessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's diagnosis, strengths, needs, cultural background, and treatment goals. Monitor clinical progress and modify treatment plans when clinically indicated. Provide crisis assessment, safety planning, stabilization, and appropriate referrals when clients experience acute emotional distress. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, primary care providers, social workers, educators, attorneys, caseworkers, and other professionals when appropriate authorization is provided. Provide in-person and telehealth psychotherapy in accordance with licensing requirements, HIPAA regulations, and professional standards. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Immigration Psychological Evaluations Participate in conducting specialized immigration psychological evaluations, with training and support available as appropriate. Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews for immigration-related matters, which may include: Asylum cases VAWA petitions U visa petitions T visa petitions Extreme-hardship waivers Cancellation-of-removal matters Other immigration-related legal cases Assess the psychological effects of trauma, persecution, domestic violence, abuse, human trafficking, criminal victimization, family separation, and fear of deportation. Administer and interpret appropriate psychological screening and assessment measures. Prepare detailed, objective, trauma-informed, and professionally written psychological evaluation reports. Collaborate professionally with immigration attorneys and authorized legal representatives while maintaining clinical independence and ethical boundaries. Provide testimony or professional clarification regarding completed evaluations when requested, appropriate, and mutually agreed upon. Additional Responsibilities Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, team meetings, and case conferences. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and other clinicians to ensure coordinated and high-quality care. Provide supervision or mentorship to psychology trainees, interns, or junior clinicians when qualified and interested. Assist with the development and expansion of the practice's psychological and neuropsychological testing program. Help establish assessment protocols, referral procedures, testing batteries, report templates, and quality-assurance standards. Communicate professionally with clients, families, referral sources, attorneys, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners. Complete documentation, reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing-related requirements within established timeframes. Maintain professional boundaries and comply with HIPAA, applicable state and federal laws, ethical standards, and practice policies. Participate in continuing education and remain informed about current research, evidence-based treatments, psychological testing, and professional standards. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. PhD or PsyD required. Current psychologist license in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain Rhode Island licensure. Applicants licensed or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut are also strongly encouraged to apply. Formal training and demonstrated competence in psychological, neuropsychological, developmental, or psychoeducational assessment. Knowledge of standardized test administration, scoring, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, and report writing. Experience providing individual psychotherapy and conducting comprehensive mental health assessments. Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria, ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, mandated-reporting obligations, and professional documentation practices. Ability to work independently while participating effectively within a collaborative clinical team. Strong clinical judgment, organizational ability, communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work respectfully and effectively with clients from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, linguistic, religious, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual-orientation backgrounds. Ability to complete clinical documentation and evaluation reports accurately and within required timeframes. Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before beginning clinical services. Successful completion of required credentialing and background checks. Preferred Qualifications Postdoctoral training or advanced experience in neuropsychological assessment. Experience evaluating autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, memory disorders, executive-functioning concerns, developmental delays, or traumatic brain injury. Experience conducting assessments with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Experience providing child and family counseling, school-based mental health services, or geriatric behavioral health services. Experience working with individuals affected by trauma, domestic violence, human trafficking, abuse, immigration-related stress, or family separation. Experience working with hospitals, schools, community agencies, child-welfare systems, courts, residential programs, or multidisciplinary care teams. Experience supervising psychology trainees, interns, or other behavioral health professionals. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote service delivery. Experience working with clients who have disabilities or complex medical, developmental, psychiatric, or psychosocial needs. Interest in immigration psychological evaluations and forensic-adjacent clinical report writing. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, or another language is highly valued but not required.
