This contract opportunity invites experienced school psychologists to work full-time (part-time also considered) through the end of the 20262027 school year, providing a range of psychological services tailored to student and school needs.
Key Qualifications:
Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Active Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403) Proven experience administering psychoeducational evaluations and assessments Strong background supporting IEP development and eligibility determinations Ability to provide individual and group counseling and behavioral interventions Excellent communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Flexibility and organization to manage student caseloads and adapt to diverse assignments
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to guide educational planning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students Assist in developing and monitoring IEPs, performing eligibility determinations, and contributing expertise in student support teams Deliver counseling, behavioral support, and crisis interventions as needed Offer consultation, progress monitoring, and data-driven recommendations for school improvement and student success Participate in intervention planning and ongoing professional development This is a rewarding opportunity to advocate for students and drive positive outcomes in an urban school setting.
