Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students ranging from ages 3 to 21 by providing essential school psychological services on a flexible contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This engaging opportunity near Warwick, RI, offers both part-time and full-time roles, with a preference for full-time availability. Assignments are dynamic, and may include collaboration with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to help students succeed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403) Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments Experience supporting the development and review of IEPs, and determining eligibility for special education services Strong skills in counseling, behavioral interventions, and student-centered consultation Capable of supporting intervention planning, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working across multidisciplinary teamsKey Responsibilities:
Conduct individual evaluations and assessments for students ages 3 to 21 Provide support for IEP development, eligibility determination, and implementation Offer counseling services and behavioral supports as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service professionals Assist with student intervention strategies, crisis support, and data collection Engage in ongoing consultation and progress monitoring based on school and program needs Discover the rewards of helping students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially in a collaborative environment.
