Job Description

Make a positive impact on students educational journeys by providing essential psychological services in a school-based setting. This contract position places you alongside a supportive school community near Columbia, SC, where your expertise will help foster a safe, enriching, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field Demonstrated experience with psychological assessments, evaluations, and creating intervention strategies Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plan processes Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff Familiarity with current best practices in school psychology and special education Organizational skills to manage caseload paperwork and stay compliant with deadlines
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and collaborate in eligibility determinations Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs and 504 Plans Facilitate individual and group counseling for students to support social-emotional well-being Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to design, monitor, and evaluate interventions Assist with crisis intervention and offer guidance on behavioral management strategies Serve as a resource for staff and parents to promote academic and behavioral success Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports in accordance with relevant regulations
