Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications
- Specialist degree (Ed.
- Active South Carolina School Psychologist credential (Level II or Level III) issued by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE)
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience (school-based and/or tele-assessment preferred)
- Experience conducting virtual psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting standardized batteries, and participating in eligibility determinations
- Strong diagnostic, clinical writing, and communication skills
- Comfortable using telepractice platforms, remote testing software (e.g., Q-interactive, Q-global), and digital IEP systems Key Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive virtual psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized cognitive, academic, adaptive, and social-emotional assessment tools via secure digital platforms
- Deliver virtual counseling, crisis consultation, or behavioral intervention support as outlined in student IEPs
- Integrate multi-source assessment data into clear, defensible evaluation reports with actionable educational recommendations Collaboration & Consultation
- Partner closely with general and special education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and parents to support student success
- Provide evidence-based intervention strategies for
MTSS/RTI
teams, classroom accommodations, and positive behavior supports- Participate actively in virtual IEP meetings, eligibility determination conferences, and manifestation determinations Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain thorough, compliant, and timely documentation of evaluation reports, re-evaluations, and service logs
- Ensure all assessments and clinical procedures strictly comply with SCDE special education guidelines, district policies, and IDEA mandates
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student assessment records in accordance with FERPA and professional ethical standards Technology & Telepractice Tools
- Utilize secure telepractice platforms and authorized digital test publishers to deliver standardized remote evaluations
- Coordinate with onsite facilitators or test proctors to ensure testing integrity and environment control
- Guide school teams and families with virtual platform navigation and session setup Advocacy & Student Support
- Advocate for students' academic, emotional, and social-developmental needs within the educational environment
