Job Description

Step into a significant and rewarding role supporting high school students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant community near Charleston. This contract opportunity is designed for compassionate professionals who excel in assessment, counseling, and collaboration, and who are committed to helping students thrive both academically and personally. You'll be serving high school students and working closely with educators and families to create the best possible learning environment. The position begins immediately and continues through early June 2027, offering a stable and fulfilling assignment.
Key Qualifications:
Possession of a valid South Carolina School Psychologist License Experience or strong interest in high school student populations Able to perform comprehensive evaluations and counseling with professionalism and empathy Strong communication and organizational skills Proven ability to collaborate as part of an educational team
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments for high school students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with staff and families Offer counseling and intervention services to support students mental health and academic success Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise to student support strategies Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all services provided Foster positive relationships with students, educators, and families to promote a supportive school culture Enjoy working a consistent 37.5-hour schedule per week within a supportive and dynamic school environment, surrounded by the coastal beauty near Charleston.
