Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a positive impact working as a School Psychologist supporting high school students in a welcoming educational environment located near Charleston. This contract role offers the opportunity to partner with educators and families to enhance student success and well-being. As a valued school-based mental health professional, you will use your assessment, consultation, and collaboration skills to serve a diverse population. You'll benefit from a consistent full-time schedule and a multi-year assignment that allows you to truly make a difference.
Requirements:
Hold a valid South Carolina School Psychologist license Experience working with high school-aged students is preferred Strong assessment and report-writing abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interventions to students' unique learning and behavioral needs Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and participate in eligibility determinations Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create comprehensive support plans Provide individual and group counseling as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise in behavior and learning concerns Help design and implement academic and behavioral interventions Support crisis intervention and provide staff consultation Maintain accurate and timely documentation
