9681296-29410 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of high school students by providing critical psychological services within a supportive educational environment. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to serve in a high school setting near Charleston, contributing to student success and working alongside committed staff.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and interpret testing results for students. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans. Participate in the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress. Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed. Engage in multi-disciplinary teams, contributing expertise in behavior management, social-emotional learning, and academic supports. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina School Psychologist License. Experience working with high school populations is highly preferred. Strong assessment, report-writing, and consultation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families. Familiarity with current best practices in school psychological services. Commitment to ethical practices and continued professional growth. This is a full-time, contract position with a 37.5-hour work week, offering a steady schedule while supporting students until the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
