Job Description

Discover a unique opportunity to support high school students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Charleston. Key Qualifications:
Current and valid South Carolina School Psychologist license required Previous experience working with high school students is highly valued Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills Ability to develop effective intervention plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations, interpreting assessment data to support student development Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in cooperation with teachers and families Provide direct counseling services to students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert guidance on student needs and recommended interventions Support crisis intervention efforts and deliver staff training as appropriate Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations Engage with families to enhance understanding and involvement in supporting student growth This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) begins as soon as possible and will continue through early June 2027. Serving a high school caseload, youll help shape positive outcomes for young people and gain enriching experience in a diverse district close to the vibrant Charleston area.
