Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of high school students as a School Psychologist with an exciting contract opportunity. Located near Charleston, this role focuses on providing essential psychological services within a high school setting for a supportive district. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through early June 2027, offering you the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff over several school years.
Key Qualifications:
Holds a current South Carolina School Psychologist license (required) Solid understanding of high school students' developmental and academic needs Proficient in conducting evaluations, assessments, and writing reports Effective communicator with students, families, and educational teams Capable of managing a caseload independently and collaboratively
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support student success Participate in multidisciplinary problem-solving and eligibility meetings Develop, implement, and monitor behavior and academic interventions Support the social-emotional and mental health needs of students Serve as a consultant and resource for teachers and families Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines This opportunity is designed for candidates eager to make a difference and who thrive in a collaborative, dynamic high school environment.
