Overview The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School is a Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) operated school located in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. The school is responsible for providing high-quality general education and Special Education programming. Approximately 101 students have been identified for contract support services

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday during normal hours of operation, 8:00am to 5:00pm. 14 days per month on-site school psychological services; 10 days per month on-site for achievement/transition purposes; 2 days per month on-site for social-emotional/assessment.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

DUTIES:

Shall perform all special education services in accordance with state and federal law. Provide comprehensive Intellectual Evaluations as designated by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor Assist with behavioral evaluations of at-risk and Special Education students Provide crisis counseling services and administer assessments for the special education evaluation process. Consultation with Teacher Assistance Team/problem-solving team as requested by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor Provide prompt completion and delivery of evaluations (estimate 2 weeks depending on caseload) Attend all initial eligibility meetings to review the results with parents/guardians All comprehensive evaluations will be completed within (25) school days as required by South Dakota State law All comprehensive evaluation reports will be completed within (30) calendar days as required by South Dakota State law Provide on-site training to school staff and/or parents on topics related to the school psychologist area of expertise upon request from the Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor Willing to attend and participate in trainings and workshops requested by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor, pending schedule and availability. Complete all necessary/required achievement initial and reevaluations. Assist with all requested achievement evaluations, initial/reevaluations. Aid with high school transition upon request. Shall work collaboratively with the Special Education Director/School Supervisor, school staff, students and parents. Upon notification from the school, shall be available for consultation when not on-site.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Shall be a United States Citizen. Licensure. Shall hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice as a school psychologist in the State of South Dakota. Education. Degree in School Psychology from an accredited university. Experience - . Minimum five years of relevant experience working within reservation schools is preferred. Minimum of five years, of relevant experience working as a counselor, school psychologist, or teacher in a school setting. Must be able to provide on-site service. Shall possesses State of South Dakota certification and Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Shall possess State of South Dakota certification as an Academic and Mental Health Evaluator. Shall be well versed in the State of South Dakota and Federal Special Education laws, rules, regulations, and eligibility requirements.

Pay:
