Job Description

Make a lasting impact supporting high school students' academic and emotional success in a thriving North Houston district. This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced School Psychologist passionate about fostering positive educational environments and providing critical support services. As a valued member of the district's high school team, you'll work closely with educators, administrators, and families to champion student well-being and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Requirements:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Prior experience working in a school setting preferred Knowledge of assessment tools and best practices in psychological evaluation Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration abilities Ability to manage a diverse caseload, balancing priorities and deadlines effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for high school students, interpreting results to inform individualized educational plans Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administration to develop interventions supporting academic and behavioral success Provide direct counseling services as needed, including crisis intervention Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs Maintain thorough documentation and reports in accordance with district and legal requirements Support staff with professional development or training on relevant mental health topics
