Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist located in Lewisville, Texas. This contract position offers the chance to apply psychological principles and practices within an educational setting, supporting student development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide counseling and intervention services to students to support their academic and emotional growth. Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance student support systems. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience conducting assessments and providing counseling in a K-12 setting. Knowledge of educational laws, special education procedures, and psychological testing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Ability to work independently and manage case loads efficiently.
