Job Description Unity Children's Home , Inc. Position Licensed Professional Counselor Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct services in individual, group, and family counseling Work collaboratively with other clinical staff in ongoing case review and improvement of treatment services Provide training to direct care staff Assist in the development and maintenance of a positive treatment culture By mutual agreement, other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator Qualifications for Position Licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Psychologist Supervisory Relationships Reports to the Program Coordinator Required Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of mental illness and chemical dependency Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment preferred Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and Trauma Informed Care preferred Participate in utilization review meetings Conduct training Required Prior Experience Two years experience in mental health, chemical dependency or dual diagnosis treatment preferred Must have experience using MS office, outlook, etc. Personal Qualities Adaptability Ability to relate with respect to teens with diverse ethnic, social-cultural, life-style, and educational backgrounds Ability to work well with a team Ability to maintain clear professional, ethical boundaries between self and clients Participate in ongoing CEU trainings
