Clinical Psychologist - Disability Assessments for the VA Lumos Psychology LLC Tyler, TX Job Details Contract $150 - $200 an hour 6 days ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Diagnostic evaluation Doctor of Philosophy Clinical Psychology Psychology Doctoral degree in psychology Licensed Psychologist Credentials Full Job Description Providing Disability Assessments Nationwide while Serving Our Veterans Description Flexible Schedule + No Treatment We are looking for a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to perform clinical diagnostic interviews of US Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits program. The exams are performed in-person either at your own practice, or at our clinic in Tyler, TX. Applicants must be located near Tyler, TX and be licensed in the State of Texas. In completing Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) reports, you will interview Veterans, review the searchable and already bookmarked electronic behavioral health records, and submit a report on VA-provided worksheet outlining the Veterans' presenting diagnosis and level of impairment. Most common clinical presentations are PTSD, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and Insomnia. The reports will be completed and submitted through a secure web portal. The Licensed Psychologist
DOES NOT
make disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQ report you submit. This role ONLY performs diagnostic interviewing and records review. You will NOT treat veterans, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position. These are one time exams that require no treatment plans/notes.
Schedule:
We are looking for a part-time clinician to perform 2-5 exams weekly, with the potential for more in the future. The medical exams generally take 45min-1hr to conduct and involve post-exam documentation and reporting, which usually takes another 30-45min. This is an Independent Contractor position. As such, you set your own schedule and provide it to us to be filled. The exams can be performed on Mondays through Sundays from 7am to 7pm. Reporting and documentation can be done at your own time, but reports have to be submitted within 48 hours of the appointment. This is an in-person exam position. This position is open to Clinical Psychologists with or without their own office space. Exams can be performed at your own clinic or in our clinic located in Tyler, TX.
