Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist opportunity is available within a public school district in Accomac, VA. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week with an anticipated start date in early September. The role supports students across the entire district, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, serving an assigned caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students to identify educational and emotional needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support plans Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational goals Utilize indirect hours for administrative duties and attend paid team meetings Maintain documentation in compliance with district policies and requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Virginia School Psychologist license is required prior to starting the assignment Experience working within a caseload model in a K-12 school setting Familiarity with special education processes and procedures, including IEP development Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage schedules and caseloads efficiently while providing high-quality services
