Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Functions as a Qualified Mental Health Professional/CSAC Supervisee; responsible for direct service care to individuals served using evidenced-based treatment. To provide ongoing monitoring and support to ensure individuals are receiving the best possible care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Provide intensive crisis services in a one-on-one or group setting while utilizing evidence-based treatment to achieve treatment goals and objectives. 2. Models and teaches problem-solving techniques. 3. Meet with individuals served in their home, school, office, and community for the provision of all services. 4. Facilitate care coordination with other service providers and link individuals with additional services needed, such as health and medical services, employment resources, financial resources, housing placement, childcare services, AA/NA groups, and/or transportation resources, 5. Provide direct clinical services with mental health clients 6. Complete required documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, monthly supervisions, and other required documentation in a timely manner. 7. Assists clients with activities of daily care and living as needed. 8. Keeps current with all mandatory training requirements including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, TOVA, and yearly CE requirements. 9. Attends staff / agency meetings. 10. Completes other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
bachelor's degree in human service or related field preferred (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling, and substance abuse.) from an accredited college and with at least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to persons with a mental and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Equivalent experience, training and demonstrated exceptional performance can offset bachelor's degree requirement.
Experience:
A minimal of 2 years experience in clinical delivery of services and working in behavioral health or a related field.
Skills:
Ability to work well with a variety of people, write, and communicate effectively. Belief in person served right to make choices. In-depth knowledge of methods of individuals service plans and available community resources. Must be able to drive.
Machines And Equipment To Be Used:
Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone, and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
Typical Physical Demands:
Required manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machine such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office and/or clerical equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Typical Mental Demands:
Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
Working Conditions:
Need reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Flexible hours to meet job demands. Satisfactory DMV Record. Satisfactory Criminal Background Record Check. Requires occasional evening, weekend, or on-call hours. Working in a drug free environment and participates in substance abuse random testing.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
