Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting students in a dynamic Pre-K-6 setting! This contract position, located in the scenic region near Windsor, VT, currently offers 28 hours per week (.7 FTE), with potential to increase to full-time for the right candidate. Work across two school locations and make a true difference in young lives. As a School Psychologist, your focus will be on providing high-quality counseling services, facilitating small group and one-on-one sessions, and offering overall support throughout the school community. Your expertise in social-emotional learning and mental health will be vital as you collaborate with educators and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist or School Counselor Experience working with Pre-K-6th grade students in academic settings Strong counseling skills, with ability to lead both small groups and individualized support Proven ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families Effective communication and report-writing abilities Familiarity with current approaches to student wellness and school-wide support systems
Responsibilities:
Deliver counseling services to individuals and small groups to support emotional and behavioral wellbeing Participate actively in child study meetings, providing expertise in educational and psychological assessments as needed Collaborate with teachers and families to design and implement intervention strategies Assist in creating a positive school culture with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and student wellness Ensure thorough documentation and confidentiality of student records If you are eager to contribute to the wellbeing of students and thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment, apply to be considered for an interview as soon as this Thursday!
