Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract role supporting students as a School Psychologist in an engaging elementary setting serving Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 8th, you'll be part of a committed team focused on student growth in a collaborative environment. Your schedule offers valuable work-life balance: Mondays start an hour later to allow team collaboration, and Tuesday through Friday hours are 8:55am to 3:25pm. This 40-hour work week includes some flexibility to participate in before- or after-school evaluation meetings when needed. You'll work with a diverse student population of about 500, with approximately 45 students currently receiving IEP services—13 of whom require reevaluation during the school year. In addition to your main caseload, you may also contribute support for preschool evaluations as needed. Your expertise will impact students at a single elementary site, promoting consistency and strong school relationships.
Key qualifications and skills:
Valid School Psychologist certification and appropriate state credentials. Experience working in elementary schools, with knowledge of special education processes and IEPs. Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations, including preschool assessments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, staff, and families. Understanding of evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring. Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Primary responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments, reevaluations, and eligibility determinations. Participate in IEP meetings, including evaluation team sessions before or after school as needed.
