Responsibilities Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by a radiologist Monitor and observe patient reactions to treatment and adjust when necessary Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect patient and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure Collaborate with radiologists and other health care team members to develop treatment plans Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions Assist in tumor localization and dosage calculations Required Skills Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles and machinery Ability to work collaboratively in a health care team Empathy and strong communication skills for interacting with patients Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping abilities Knowledge of safety protocols concerning radiological procedures
