1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department offering advanced treatment techniques. Details Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology Services department Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, either 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Shift start time may vary between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM, so flexibility is required 13-week assignment length Performs treatments including external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, respiratory gating, and prostate cancer treatment with seeds/fiducials Treats conditions such as benign brain tumors and heterotopic bone Uses Elekta Infinity treatment units and Vision RT Preferred experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT Requirements Active CA state license required, if applicable ARRT (T) certification required Current BLS certification required Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist required Prior travel experience required Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Additional Information Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans Work independently while exercising sound clinical judgment to ensure safe and precise treatment delivery Build trust and cooperation with patients and families through effective communication and attentive monitoring Adhere to all applicable regulations and facility policies to maintain patient privacy and safety May be responsible for orienting other staff or performing specialized procedures Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return First-time travelers considered if minimum experience requirements are met
