1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with active state and ARRT-T certification and 1+ year experience for an acute care hospital's Radiation Oncology department. Details Acute care hospital setting, beachside location Day shift, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM-3:30 PM) Adult and pediatric acute care patient population Performs pretreatment, custom molds/shields, tumor localization, and beam modifying/positioning Uses CBCT/kV/mV imaging, portal cast, wedges, and compensation filters Utilizes Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems Delivers External Beam Therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, and IMRT Uses Epic for charting No call requirements May be required to float between sister facilities Requirements Active state and national ARRT-T certification required (license required if applicable) Current BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year of experience required Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Epic charting experience required Skilled in lift/transfer devices and use of PPE/isolation precautions Competent in age-specific care from neonate through older adult populations Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and rapid response/code team procedures Additional Information Responsible for calculating radiation dose and developing treatment plans Performs block cutting and B-Mode acquisition targeting Works within a collaborative radiation oncology team Local candidates accepted Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local designation Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted at time of offer Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period Open to first-time travelers with required experience
