Within the Oncology unit, the Licensed Radiation Therapist will help deliver expert, local treatment to the Lower Keys, sparing patients long drives to mainland Florida for routine chemotherapy, advanced radiation, and multidisciplinary support. This Cancer Care program combines precise radiation therapy with coordinated medical oncology, patient education, symptom management, and compassionate support, allowing the Radiation Oncology Therapist to build lasting relationships while serving an essential role in the local community.
Reporting to experienced cancer services leadership, the Radiation Therapist will support treatment planning, simulation, accurate radiation delivery, equipment and patient safety checks, clinical documentation, and ongoing assessment throughout each course of therapy. The Licensed Radiation Therapist will work alongside radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, friendly nurses, imaging professionals, and a diverse healthcare professional team that values communication, mutual respect, accountability, and individualized patient care.
