Cancer Center Radiation Oncology Job Description Summary:

Position Responsibilities Performs technical tasks associated with the localization of tumors. Review dosage calculations for accuracy prior to radiation treatments; delivers prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation to patients undergoing therapy. Observes and reports changes in patient's condition to Lead Radiation Therapist. Records treatment administered on patient's chart. Prepares examination room; explain procedures and assist patients in preparing for examination or treatment. Reviews set-up of equipment and patient positioning. Assists other radiation therapist in planning treatment involving the use of dosimetry procedures and isodosing curves. (Not applicable) Monitors adherence to radiation safety factors on the unit. Maintain equipment in safe and satisfactory working condition; stock and replenish supplies as required. Qualifications License/Registration/Certification ARRT Registered Required. Fl State Lic Education BS or AS grad from accredited RT School Experience 2 - 5 years experience in healthcare environment.
