Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel Radiation Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering precise and compassionate radiation therapy to patients. Responsibilities Administer radiation treatments to patients with accuracy, adhering to prescribed protocols and safety standards Operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as CT (Computed Tomography) scanners to assist in treatment planning and delivery Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to critical care needs during therapy sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, radiologists, and nurses to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Maintain comprehensive documentation of treatments, patient responses, and medical records with attention to detail Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety guidelines and medical terminology standards Assist in patient education regarding procedures, preparation, and post-treatment care Experience Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist working in diverse clinical environments, including acute care or critical care settings Hands-on experience with CT imaging, mammography, and other medical imaging modalities Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to radiation therapy Critical care experience is highly desirable for managing complex patient needs during treatment Familiarity with radiation therapy equipment and protocols for delivering safe and effective treatments Additional certifications such as mammography or specialized training in medical imaging are advantageous Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining compassionate patient care Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills directly impact patients' lives!
