Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Radiation Therapist in Ottumwa, Iowa. This contract role is vital in supporting patient care and clinical excellence in an established oncology setting. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality radiation therapy using advanced technology.
Schedule:
13-week assignment Monday through Friday, day shift (5x8-hour shifts) 40 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
Licensed and certified Radiation Therapist Proficient in Radiation Therapy procedures and protocols Previous experience operating Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery equipment preferred Demonstrated ability to manage a patient load of 22-24 patients per day Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols Excellent communication and patient care skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately administer prescribed radiation treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety Operate and maintain Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff for optimal treatment planning and delivery Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, recognizing and reporting any side effects or complications Maintain precise records and documentation of procedures, patient outcomes, and equipment function Support a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and care
