Job Description The Radiation Therapy Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Radiation Therapy Specialist serves as a highly skilled, cross-modality expert providing systemwide clinical support and technical expertise. In this role, the specialist delivers advanced radiation therapy treatments across multiple platforms and ensures consistent, high-quality care throughout the network. Additionally, the specialist provides coverage for the Foundational Therapist role as needed, supporting seamless departmental operations and maintaining continuity of patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Competence in all duties of a Foundational or Advanced Radiation Therapist. Competence in multiple advanced radiation treatment procedures (CSI, TNI, TSI, TBI, Peds, etc.) Competence in multiple radiation delivery systems (GK, HDR, Protons, MrgRT, etc.) Ability to cover Foundational Therapist role across the system as needed.Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent (Radiologic Technologist with advanced training and board certification in Radiation Therapy)
Licensure:
- ARRT
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification
- IEMA
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency in Medical Radiation Technology licensure
Certification:
- AHA BLS
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association certification
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in the field of

Physical Demands Requirement:
Physical demands required for this role include lift/carry up to 40 pounds and a push/pull force up to 50 poundsPreferred:
1+ years of experience as a Foundational or Advanced Therapist at Northwestern Medicine Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.- Multilingual Proficiency
- Extensive computer proficiency Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist in a comparable clinical setting
