Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting oncology care in a dynamic clinic setting, utilizing your expertise as a Radiation Therapist. In this contract opportunity, you'll work with advanced technology including Varian Edge and Aria systems, delivering quality radiation therapy alongside a dedicated team. This position supports a high-volume cancer center where the ability to function independently while managing a robust patient schedule is essential.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position Typical clinic hours, with guaranteed hours except for scheduled holiday closures
Key Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy IEMA licensure required Proven experience working in mid-sized or large hospital environments Extensive knowledge of Varian Edge and Aria platforms Strong multitasking abilities; able to manage 64-68 patients per day across two treatment units Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to work independently, confidently, and efficiently under pressure
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver safe and precise radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians Operate Varian Edge/Aria systems according to established protocols Accurately document treatments and update medical records Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff for seamless patient care Adhere to strict safety and sterilization standards Provide clear instruction and emotional support to patients receiving treatment
