Thank you for your interest in joining the team! This is a day-shift, PRN position for a Registered Radiation Therapist with Monday-Friday shift availability.
Job Description:
Responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription and instruction of a radiation oncologist. Controls the exact amount of radiation to be administered locally, and reproduces treatment fields, ensuring that exposure is made only to prescribed areas. Requires high levels of quality control, safety, treatment planning and administration, patient care, and patient scheduling. May be asked to mentor those with less experience and/or students during clinical rotations. High School Diploma/GED is required. Registered RT (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Registry eligibility required. For Registry eligible candidates, candidate must pass exam within three months of hire date. RT (T) license as issued and required by the Indiana State Department of Health is required. Requires current BLS certification. Requires extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of radiation oncology; which includes the operation of various complex equipment, application mathematical computation for treatment planning and design production, and implementation of beam altering devices. #LI-Onsite We are an equal opportunity employer.
