1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a teaching hospital's outpatient oncology setting, requiring ARRT R and ARRT T certification. Details Teaching hospital setting with 327 staffed beds Adult outpatient work setting in Radiation Oncology Daily caseload of 14 patients per tech Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM No weekend requirement No on-call requirement No floating between units or to sister facilities Open to accommodating block scheduling Uses ARIA and Varis Vision/ARIA record & verify systems Uses EPIC for charting (preferred experience) Equipment includes Siemens, TrueBeam, and Vision RT Performs external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and brachytherapy assistance Treats a range of conditions including various cancers, benign brain tumors, and Graves Disease Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist ARRT R and ARRT T certification required BLS certification required State license required if applicable (pending license accepted) Epic charting experience preferred Experience with beam modifying/positioning techniques such as CBCT/kV/mV imaging, custom molds, and shields Skilled in chart checks, pretreatment procedures, and tumor localization Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE Experience with lift/transfer devices and patient/family teaching Two professional references required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers accepted for this position Travel team member will be paired with an experienced facility-employed RTT at all times Some holiday and weekend coverage may be expected 1 RTO request must be submitted and approved prior to assignment Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted with approval at a reduced bill rate Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year extension before returning as a traveler Former permanent employees must wait a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler Orientation includes non-billable training modules averaging 4-8 hours, completed annually
