GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
Assists the radiation therapists in ensuring a smooth flow of patients within the department by stocking, preparing, and maintaining cleanliness of patient rooms, ensuring proper level of supplies for department inventory. Under minimal direction of a Radiation Therapist and according to established policies and procedures, performs assigned duties as they directly relate to patient care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assists with morning preparations in treatment rooms and performs warm up and QA in HDR. Stocks linens and supplies in all assigned rooms. Maintains supply and patient mold closet, notifying lead therapist monthly. Assists department staff with CT's and HDRs. Removes, cleans, and stores patient setup devices after each patient procedure and prepares treatment room for the next patient following documented setup instructions.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
One-year previous clinical experience in a health care environment. Previous Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant experience.
