Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Active certification as a Radiation Therapist from an accredited program. Proven previous experience in administering radiation therapy. Elekta equipment experience strongly preferred. Solid understanding of radiation safety procedures and quality assurance standards. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, clinical physicists, and other specialists. Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills. Experience mentoring or instructing students is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians, ensuring treatments align with individualized patient plans. Calibrate and operate therapy equipment, including data entry and regulation of dosage controls. Prepare treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and technical staff based on patients' anatomy and condition. Construct customized patient immobilization devices as directed. Accurately maintain records regarding treatments, dosage, equipment settings, and patient responses. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure equipment is ready and safe for each session. Consistently utilize protective gear and procedures, maintaining compliance with safety regulations for patients and staff. Conduct and document quality assurance checks according to state and federal guidelines. Help onboard and evaluate student radiation therapists through clinical instruction.
