Key Responsibilities:

Administer radiation therapy following physician's instructions and treatment plans. Accurately input data and set controls to operate and adjust radiation equipment, regulating dosage as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians, radiation oncologists, clinical physicists, and other staff to develop and implement technical aspects of patient treatment plans based on patient condition and anatomy. Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered. Maintain comprehensive patient records, including treatment dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions, adhering to all departmental protocols. Perform routine and specialized radiation therapy treatments, including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy, in accordance with established policies. Prepare rooms and equipment for each patient session. Follow safety protocols and utilize proper protective equipment for the safety of patients and staff. Conduct quality assurance procedures in line with state and federal guidelines. Provide clinical instruction and evaluate student radiation therapists during on-the-job training.

Qualifications:

Current ARRT certification required. Demonstrated skills in Radiation Therapy. Experience with complex radiation treatment techniques preferred.
