Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Valid state licensure as a Radiation Therapist Proven experience operating LINAC and other radiation therapy equipment Strong familiarity with treatment planning systems and safety protocols Excellent communication skills and ability to explain procedures to patients Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards

Responsibilities:

Administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by oncologists Accurately position patients and operate equipment for optimal treatment delivery Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the course of therapy Document treatment details, patient responses, and maintain accurate medical records Collaborate with medical physicists and dosimetrists on treatment plans and adjustments Perform quality assurance checks to ensure equipment functions safely and accurately Educate patients and their families on the treatment process and expected outcomes Proactively identify and report any issues related to safety, equipment, or patient care
