Key Responsibilities:
Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments as directed by oncology protocols and physician orders Operate linear accelerators and other treatment equipment according to established safety guidelines Accurately position patients and monitor their comfort during therapy sessions Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of treatment administration Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families about procedures and address questions with clarity and compassion Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and safety standards throughout the course of therapy
Required Qualifications:
Valid certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent) Demonstrated clinical expertise in radiation therapy and safety procedures Proficient in the operation of radiation therapy equipment including linear accelerators Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to support patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Current BLS certification Experience in a hospital or outpatient oncology setting is preferred
