Setting:
Hospital-based oncology/radiation therapy service Responsibilities Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy treatments using a Varian TrueBeam system, ensuring accurate patient setup and treatment verification. Utilize IX and ARIA software for treatment planning, record-and-verify processes, and treatment documentation in accordance with clinical protocols. Collaborate with the oncology team (physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists) to implement treatment plans and optimize patient care. Perform patient positioning, immobilization, image guidance, and safety checks; monitor patient status during treatment and respond to concerns. Maintain precise treatment records, communicate any deviations or adverse events to the care team, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Assist with general clinical duties as assigned and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
