1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT-T registration and state RTT certification for a hospital's Radiation Oncology department using Varian TrueBeam and Mosaiq EMR. Details Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Uses Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator Uses Mosaiq for electronic medical records Requirements Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) State Certification of Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RTT) required, if applicable BLS certification required Bachelor's degree in radiological technology or equivalent preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience within the last 3 months Strong communication skills and attention to detail Compassionate approach to patient care Additional Information Administer ionizing irradiation to patients per physician prescriptions and instructions Explain treatment procedures and communication methods to patients before and during treatment Prepare treatment room and equipment, including immobilization devices, according to prescription or simulation Observe patients for reactions or complications during treatment and report to supervisor and physician Maintain accurate treatment records and review patient charts for completeness May provide clinical supervision and evaluation of students Required vaccinations as a condition of employment per organizational policy Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
