1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and 2+ years experience for a day-shift cancer center position with no weekends, holidays, or call requirements. Details Work at a cancer center performing radiation therapy services Adult acute care patient population including young, middle, and older adults Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM No weekend or holiday coverage required No call requirements No floating requirements Uses Epic for electronic medical records Uses Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems Performs pretreatment procedures including custom molds, custom shields, and tumor localization Performs beam modifying/positioning, block cutting, and B-Mode acquisition targeting Utilizes CBCT/kV/mV imaging and compensation filters Delivers External Beam Therapy and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) May care for
COVID-19
patients Requirements ARRT certification required BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only) Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program required Minimum of 2 years of experience required Epic charting experience required Prior travel experience required License required if applicable Skilled in calculating radiation dose and developing treatment plans Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Knowledge of radiation safety protocols Familiarity with Rapid Response/Code team procedures Ability to use lift/transfer devices Age-specific competency for young, middle, and older adult patients Additional Information Facility is tobacco and fragrance free Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate Candidates may be reviewed by clinical staff to determine fit prior to manager interview
