Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Radiation Therapist experienced in providing daily care to cancer patients, with a strong understanding of treatment delivery, simulation, and patient safety. Working with advanced technologies such as Truebeam, Halcyon, and Aria for Record/Verify, you'll play a critical role in accurate treatment administration and patient support throughout their care journey.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

Key Qualifications:

Active Virginia Radiation Therapist license required at the time of submission Proficiency with Truebeam and Halcyon equipment Experience using Aria for documentation and record/verify systems Prior experience in radiation therapy and brachytherapy procedures Ability to provide clear clinical instruction and simulate procedures Strong patient care and triage skills, particularly for acutely ill patients

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver prescribed radiation treatments with accuracy and compassion under the guidance of the radiation oncologist Perform simulation and assist with treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry Facilitate Brachytherapy procedures as part of the treatment team Educate and supervise radiation therapy students as needed Maintain thorough and accurate treatment documentation using Aria Triage patients who show signs of distress or illness to nursing for prompt evaluation
