Job Description

JOB TITLE
MRI Tech
DEPARTMENT
Imaging Services
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position is responsible for performing a variety of Magnetic Resonance procedures, ensuring patient safety, and producing excellent quality imaging studies for physicians to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Requires independent judgment and understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
must be able to perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment. Must be able to position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment and proper coil placement. Must be able to screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure. Perform basic image processing on workstation.
PAY RANGE
: $35-53/hr to start (dependent upon experience and education)

Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology ARRT certification in Radiography ARRT certification in MR technology Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
Experience:
3-5 years of MRI experience 12 months of experience in cardiac and vascular imaging preferred
